Sticker | rox (Holo) | Antwerp 2022: History, Price & Why It Matters
The Sticker | rox (Holo) | Antwerp 2022 shouldn't be this expensive. It's an autograph sticker from a player whose team went 0–3 at the Challengers Stage and got eliminated. And yet it consistently sits among the most valuable player stickers in all of Counter-Strike 2. Here's the full story: the player, the design decision that changed everything, and why people keep applying it to their weapons four years later.

The Player: Martín "rox" Molina
Martín "rox" Molina (born September 15, 2002) is an Argentinian CS player who came up through the South American scene. He joined 9z Team in January 2021 and competed internationally, qualifying for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 as part of the Contenders stage.
9z didn't make it far. They went out 0–3 in the Challengers Stage, losing to ENCE, MIBR, and Team Liquid. But the tournament left something behind that nobody expected: rox's autograph sticker became one of the most valuable items in CS2 history.
Rox went inactive with 9z in September 2022 and left the org in February 2023. He's since played with LRV Esports and LUNA Esports. His career stats aren't what drive the sticker price; it's something else entirely.
The Design: Why 中 (Zhōng) Changed Everything
When pro players submit their autograph for Major stickers, they get some creative freedom. Rox did something that turned out to be brilliant: he swapped the letter "o" in his name for the Chinese character 中 (zhōng).
That one character carries a lot of weight. 中 means "middle" or "center" in Chinese, and it's the first character in 中国 (Zhōngguó), literally "Middle Kingdom," the Chinese name for China. For the enormous Chinese CS2 community, this wasn't just a cool design. It was a cultural connection on a holographic sticker, and it hit immediately.
The sticker reads "r中x" in holographic finish, Latin script fused with a Chinese character. That cultural crossover is what made the Sticker | rox (Holo) | Antwerp 2022 legendary.
The Holo version has a pink-purple iridescent finish that most people consider one of the best-looking autographs in CS2. Between the visual quality and the cultural significance, it became the go-to sticker for high-end weapon crafts.
The Capsule: Antwerp 2022 Contenders Autograph Capsule
You can only get the Sticker | rox (Holo) | Antwerp 2022 from the Antwerp 2022 Contenders Autograph Capsule. It contains autographs from all Contenders stage players at the PGL Major Antwerp 2022.
The rarity tiers work like any CS2 sticker capsule:
- High Grade (Paper): ~80.1% drop rate
- Remarkable (Glitter): ~16.0%
- Exotic (Holo): ~3.2%
- Extraordinary (Gold): ~0.64%
But that 3.2% Exotic chance is split across every player in the capsule. The actual odds of unboxing a specific rox (Holo)? Community math puts it at about 1 in 1,250 capsules. At ~$0.80 per capsule, that's a $1,000 expected cost to unbox one, far more than just buying it on the Steam Market.
Why Is It So Expensive?
The rox (Holo) price has held steady among the highest of any autograph sticker in CS2. A few things keep it there:
Cultural demand is the biggest driver. The 中 character connected with Chinese collectors and investors, who represent a massive portion of the CS2 skin market. That demand hasn't faded. If anything, it's grown as the sticker's reputation spread.
Supply keeps shrinking. Crafters regularly apply 4x rox (Holo) builds to weapons, permanently pulling stickers out of circulation. Every applied sticker is one less on the market. And with only about 1 in 1,250 capsules producing a new one, the inflow can't keep up.
On top of that, the Holo finish is genuinely one of the best-looking autographs from any Major. It's not just a status symbol; it actually looks good on weapons, which matters when you're spending $500+ on a 4x craft.
Price surges have been especially notable in early 2023 and late 2024, driven by CS2's improved holographic rendering and general market momentum.
The PGL Major Antwerp 2022
The PGL Major Antwerp 2022 ran from May 9–22, 2022, at the Antwerps Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Belgium. Twenty-four teams competed for a $1,000,000 prize pool. Sticker capsules dropped on May 3, 2022, a week before the tournament started.
FaZe Clan won the whole thing. But in terms of lasting market impact, rox's autograph from the Contenders capsule has arguably left a bigger mark than any other single item from the event. Nobody saw that coming.
Tracking Every Applied Sticker | rox (Holo) | Antwerp 2022
ROX CULT is the only dedicated tracker for every applied rox (Holo) sticker in Counter-Strike 2. We pull data from CSFloat DB, which indexes the entire Steam inventory database, and we track:
- Live stickers applied: how many rox (Holo) stickers have been permanently applied, updated every 15 minutes
- Monthly craft trends: application rate, daily averages, end-of-month projections
- Price performance: sticker vs. capsule price over time, overlaid on application volumes
- Capsule estimates: minimum Antwerp 2022 Contenders Autograph Capsules opened, based on the 1:1,250 rate
- Historical data: going back to the sticker's release in 2022, with year-over-year comparison
Every applied sticker is a permanent decision. Once it's on a weapon, it's gone from the market forever. That's what makes tracking them interesting: the supply only goes in one direction.
For the full math on how many rox holos can ever exist (and how many already do), see The Roxetta Stone: a reconstruction of the Antwerp 2022 capsule supply from Valve's $70m team revenue figure, the public 1-in-1,248 drop rate, and live CSFloat DB data.
Since Sticker Slabs launched in November 2025, players also have the option to display their rox (Holo) as a weapon charm without applying it. We cover that in our Sticker Slab | rox (Holo) guide.
